"You will find that it is necessary to let things go; simply for the reason that they are heavy," C. Joybell
No matter our stage of life, we're all carrying things that need to be released so we can feel... lighter. And often, we need a little help from our friends.
I'm here to bring sweetness, service, and loving support to your life as you... release.

When the waters get rough, I am your calm and steady presence - your attentive, intuitive, by-your-side friend who can guide you through self-discovery and help lighten your load as you or your loved one prepare for life's next great adventure.
Using my honed skills and natural gifts, I help create a peaceful and personalized experience at the end of life - yours or your loved one's.
This work doesn't fit into neat categories. It looks different for everyone, shaped by individual needs, desires, family dynamics, and intentions.
I'm here to help you and your family navigate and release fears and the heaviness of the dying process, so you can more fully and comfortably ease into the mysterious and beautiful transformation that it is.

It's a great joy for me to help elders live their lives to the fullest in the place they most want to be - home. I provide loving, attentive in-home care and companionship for seniors (and younger adults living with illness or other challenges that make daily life difficult to manage alone).
I offer companionship both at home and out in the community, light housekeeping and organizing, cooking and meal planning, errands, medication reminders, and other non-medical support that helps ease daily life.
My clients appreciate my deep patience, my intuitive presence, and my efficient attention to detail. They also value how I gently help them think about what they might be ready to release - the physical things, the worries, the burdens they've been carrying - here at the sunset of their lives.

I offer heart-centered energy healing rooted in principles similar to Reiki, but uniquely my own. This work now also incorporates sound healing and light language as they come through.
My sessions support deep clearing, connection, balance, and release across the physical, mental, emotional, and energetic bodies.
Whether in person or at a distance, clients often leave feeling grounded and deeply relaxed. Those who fully surrender to the process frequently report profound experiences of healing, clarity, and emotional release.

I find profound joy in helping people heal themselves - in helping them find the truth within and release what they need to let go of to find lightness, even liberation. I love helping people find clarity, connection, closure, or relief at any stage of life.
My natural caregiving skills began early. I was raised in a daycare home and started babysitting at 8. In 3rd grade, I started volunteering at a nearby nursing home - and I was surprised to learn years later that my mom hadn't set it up for me. I'd simply come home from school one day and announced I was going to start volunteering. I continued that service even after we moved across town, where (not surprisingly) there was another nursing home within walking distance. I loved giving attention to the incredibly interesting elders there who felt forgotten by society. And they loved me right back.
As an adult, my first intimate experience tending to someone at the end of life was my mother, who died at 66 in 2015. I spent 10 grueling days sleeping next to her in the ICU, fiercely advocating for her and never once hearing a doctor speak the word "death." A few weeks later, after I'd returned home 2,700 miles away, she died with only my father and sister by her side. I was shocked and devastated - mostly by the overwhelming grief of not having cleared the deck with my mom before she left, but also by feeling robbed of the truth of her situation by a litigation-fearing, death-denying culture.
In the midst of the great pause of 2020, I had one of those lightning bolt moments when I first heard the words "death" and "doula" put together, and my life immediately took off in the most fulfilling direction. I've spent the years since digging into formal and informal trainings, adding "medicines to my bag" and deepening my natural skills and understanding of what it means to be human, and ultimately, realizing I was clearly made for this work.
Some of my most potent natural gifts are deep wells of patience, highly attuned intuition, a calm and regulated nervous system that puts people at ease, and an open, curious and loving heart. In addition to my death doula and grief tending certifications, I have specialized training in dementia care and medical aid in dying, as well as energy work, shamanic practices, herbalism, dream interpretation, Internal Family Systems, and sound healing. I'm a lifelong learner with immense curiosity and introspective humility.
I'm pictured above with my beloved friend, Brenda, who I had the great honor to walk alongside during the final two years of her remarkable life.

"There are not many people who are able to talk about death directly, sensitively, and appropriately with a person facing their own mortality. Jenny is able to sense what is needed (for both the client and their loved ones) and bring the subject up (if necessary) in a manner that brings gentle attention and curiosity to a person’s own unnamed and unspoken fears and internal conversations.
Call her a mortality therapist, or a healer of transcendence-blocking energy, but what she does is magical and deeply respectful. Time and time again, I have seen that she has the ability to give the kind of attention that is most needed in the moment.
I have worked with Jenny in the eldercare field for over two years, and what Jenny does as a death doula is a bit of a mystery to me, but I see the results and the deep care and love she brings and if I were to have one person by my side as I move towards a transition from this life, it would be Jenny."
"Our family had the great good fortune to find Jenny to care for our childless aunt. I can only hope that when I’m older and need a companion and caregiver, someone to help me meet my end, they will be just like Jenny.
Jenny came to care for our Aunt Brenda when she was still semi-independent but needed a few hours a day for medication and meals support. This care increased gradually, as Brenda needed help with oncoming dementia, then a broken hip and shoulder and evolved to full-time care as Brenda needed additional cognitive and physical care, and moral support, as she approached death.
Jenny recognized and was interested in our aunt’s full life, her family, her story, her career, her personality, her preferences, tastes, her whole being!
Jenny tuned in to our aunt. This amazed me because Brenda was a stranger. Jenny was always prompt, clear about her schedule, left thorough notes daily before leaving, and schooled me well on the morning routine when there was a time that I was filing in.
Jenny is just super responsible, honest, and diligent about details, such as medications and observing for side effects, or any other changes. She reported to us with complete transparency and would make suggestions without being overbearing. Plus, and importantly, she has a lovely sense of humor! And she has not a whiff of smarm!
Jenny interacted with Brenda with genuine love, respect, sensitivity, and insight. During the months preceding our aunt’s death at 96, Jenny was the one who could sense the times when it was natural and appropriate to gently and so skillfully tease out the strands of Brenda’s feelings about 'The End.'
With Jenny’s loving and respectful (but not sanctimonious) support, Brenda opened up – gradually. This was clearly a healing as well as comforting time for Brenda. Brenda’s last days were peaceful. For this and Jenny I cannot be more grateful."
"I had the privilege of knowing Jenny professionally while she had a wonderful client in a local rehab facility where I work. I witnessed her compassionate, professional, and loving caregiving through this client’s rehab and end of life journey.
Jenny’s care was tender, intuitive or by request, always ensuring that her client’s needs were met. I observed a soft, clear communication style with professional staff, her client, and other patients at the facility. It was frequently noticed that Jenny’s infectious smile always put others at ease, helping them relax into conversation.
Jenny is special, a true caregiver/companion with many skills and professional qualities. I’m grateful to know her as a sister caregiver and to refer clients/families to her skilled care. Also, to consider Jenny a friend."
"It comforts me to know that these last years [Nicole] felt steadier and happier than she had been in much of her life. A big part of that wasn’t so much your good cooking and efficient housekeeping, but the loving connection you made with her.
I’m so grateful you were there, when I couldn’t be. It was so supportive for me."
"Our first healing session sparked a huge wave of personal transformation and personal growth and expansion for me! My energy felt cleansed and cleared and I noticed a significant decrease in my anxiety and stress levels and an increase in confidence, strength, awareness, and intuition. I feel much more connected to my higher self and there is a clarity in hearing and listening to that higher self like I have never experienced before. I feel much more connected and supported by the universe. I feel more present and awareness and a keen ability to tune into the signs and messages from all the elements and animals.
I sincerely thank you for being present with me and for facilitating and holding the time and space to allow this healing to occur. I immediately felt safe and comfortable to be open and honest in your presence, which helped me to be open and honest with myself. A mirror reflecting the truth back to me. You are a compassionate and gifted soul and I know that you are bringing lots of healing to many lives and the world. Thank you for empowering me to go deeper within myself and to start living with intention and truth.
I would love to schedule another appointment with you!!"
"Receiving energy healing from Jenny is always an ecstatic experience for me. If a normal energy work session is a trampoline, my sessions with Jenny are skydiving... in reverse... through the universe.
Guided by her incredible spaceholding, intention setting, breathing cues, and the magic of her touch, I met my spirit guide. I laughed til I cried. I cried more. I convulsed as I felt my molecules reorganizing into the best possible version of myself.
Jenny brings deep wisdom, a large catalogue of energy techniques, and equal measures of love, lightness and laughter to this work. She makes me feel held, safe, and brave. I hope you have the opportunity to work with Jenny soon!"
"Working with Jenny is transformational! She is so professional and deeply connected to her energy work. I was a little apprehensive coming into the process, but Jenny made me feel welcome, comfortable and secure.
Each time I have had a session with Jenny I move forward with my own healing journey. I can feel a physical change in my body, along with a deeper awareness of who I really am.
Thank you, Jenny, for sharing your gifts with the world, we all could use your wisdom and nurturing to help us heal ourselves and our world!"
"I don't know how to describe Jenny's work without using buzz words; what I do know is that it is effective! In one session, I obtained access to inner knowing and abilities that I had been working toward through years of meditation and plant medicine journeys.
The work with Jenny unlocked something inside me that I continue to benefit from months after our session. Jenny's lack of ego allowed my nervous system to relax and receive in a way that made our session extremely valuable."
"I would just like to tell you how grateful I am for you. I have had many Reiki sessions, but the cleansing storm of light you created has not stopped working since. I feel like a fresh newborn covered in the ethereal goodness leftover from being in the womb of Mother Earth."
"I met Jenny when we were both students of Healing Touch. Jenny already had strong intuitive abilities, a wide variety of spiritual knowledge and a deep caring commitment for helping people. Over time, her abilities have expanded as she continually explores new ways to grow as a healer and a person. When I need energy work, Jenny is top of my list. Her "knowings" and counsel are wise, helpful and always just what I need. She is a healer's Healer and simply the best."

First, I want to acknowledge that the gifts I'm able to offer should be given as freely as they were given to me, in loving service to my community. May we one day live in a culture that honors and supports this sacred work as it deserves.
Energy Healing - I offer a pay-what-you-can sliding scale of $60–$150 for a 90-minute session.
Death Doula and Grief Tending - This offering depends on your needs and the agreement we come to when we decide to work together. In some cases, an hourly rate for my support ($40/hour) will make the most sense. In others, we may agree to a flat rate over a given period of time. I'm happy to discuss what feels right for your situation.
Caregiving and Companionship - I ask for $35-45/hour as an exchange for this work. My rate will be commensurate with the nature of your needs.
All of the above can be negotiated. I encourage you to reach out if you feel a strong resonance with me and my offerings but are unsure if you can afford it. If we're a perfect match, I trust the universe will conspire to ensure we get to work together.
Death Doulas (also called End-of-Life Doulas) are a beautiful complement to what hospice offers - the two work wonderfully together.
Doulas provide compassionate personal support and guidance throughout the end-of-life journey for both individuals and their families. My role is to help you navigate this sacred transition with grace and dignity by offering emotional, spiritual, and practical (non-medical) support, ensuring that you and your loved ones feel heard, supported, and empowered during this tender time.
From facilitating meaningful conversations and honoring your wishes, to helping you think through advanced directives and legacy wishes. From sitting bedside and providing comfort and respite and offering resources for grief and loss, to helping determine plans for 'the stuff' or for the funeral - the role of a death doula looks as different as each individual life and death.
Together, we honor the life that has been lived while preparing for the journey ahead, ensuring that you and your family can find peace and connection during this profound process.
Hospice provides essential medical care - managing pain and symptoms - along with psychosocial and spiritual support. Hospice teams include skilled doctors, nurses, social workers, chaplains, and aides who bring invaluable expertise to end-of-life care.
Because these professionals serve many patients and have demanding caseloads, their visits are often scheduled in shorter blocks of time, with frequency varying based on individual needs. This is where a death doula can fill in the gaps, offering extended presence, companionship, potentially deeper emotional, spiritual, and practical support and continuity of care between hospice visits.
This website has a beautiful summary about the two and how well they can compliment each other.
Well, first I need to say that everyone is dying - some of us are just knowingly a bit closer to it.
And no! A person of any age or state of health can benefit from the loving, skilled support of an end-of-life doula. My skills shine brightest when someone is open to honest conversation about their own death or a loved one's, no matter how far away that moment may be.
I can help you move through fears or anxieties about the inevitable, work out what heavy baggage you might be best served to release so you're lighter when the time comes. I can help you think about legacy, what you want to do with your belongings, how you want your death to unfold (from start to finish), what you want done after, and more.
Bottom line: if death feels hard to talk about but you know you need to, I can help make that conversation easier - and help you release what you've been carrying along the way.
No, my offerings are outside of the insurance paradigm.
Possibly! Depending on my other client and mothering obligations, as well as your needs, I may be willing to travel a reasonable (no more than an hour, generally) distance to support you.
I am an active 'member' of a growing network of doulas and caregivers and am also happy to try and make some connections more close to you. Please feel free to reach out to discuss!
Yes! In fact, I have taken training with the Academy of Aid-In-Dying Medicine and am an active volunteer with Maine Death with Dignity.
Please email me directly or through this site via the button below to schedule a healing session or inquire about a discovery call for any of my offerings.
I look forward to meeting you!
